August 16 Egyptian Ministry of Electric Power and China State Grid Corporation signed a super high-voltage overhead cable project cooperation agreement, a total length of 1210 km.
According to the Egyptian Ministry of Electric News sources, China State Grid Corporation will complete next month to connect Tama and Tahta transmission project construction, a total length of about 800 km.
The construction of this project is to connect more new power stations, strengthen the transmission capacity of the national grid, reduce the time of power outages, and improve Egypt's power infrastructure.
According to the introduction, this ultra-high voltage overhead cable transmission project is divided into several sections, the main line in the Tama-Tahta section, a total length of more than 520 km, the rest also includes Magagah section, about 47 km, Itay ElBaroud section about 110 km, The new administrative capital section, about 10 km, Beni Suef section, about 30 km, and Eastern Assiut section, about 85 km.
In addition to China State Grid Corporation, Egypt's largest cable manufacturing and power company ElSewedyElectric will also be responsible for the construction of two transmission lines. Egyptian Ministry of Electric Power revealed that the next few years, the Egyptian government will continue to increase investment in power infrastructure to improve the domestic power grid operations. In order to improve the transmission capacity, the Ministry of Electricity and China State Grid Corporation signed a cooperation agreement on the ultra-high voltage overhead cable project, a total length of 1210 km.
